WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be visited at any time to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every few weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item, however they'll always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item upgrader mod from a different player will cost 105.

Once an Item Level upgrade has been upgraded to a certain degree it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.
