After you have removed your old cover Use a flathead screwdriver to pull out the four major attachment clips on the passenger side of the fob assembly. These are marked in red on the image below. Note the yellow locating tabs, which must be removed.

After removing the battery replace it with a new 3 volt coin cell battery. Make sure that the "+" positive side of the battery is aligned to the opening in the fob and that the"-" negative side is facing toward the buttons made of rubber.

Reattach the mirror's passenger side cover by aligning the tabs that locate it. After you've completed this, insert the fob on the driver's side in your vehicle and test it by pressing the push button on the front of the car key. If everything is working correctly the parking lights will be turned on and the doors will close.
