As the name suggests, the GE Profile series is targeted at those who want to incorporate cutting-edge features into their kitchen. The refrigerator is brimming with them, from an in-the-door Keurig K-cup coffee maker to a sophisticated water dispenser. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. Since this refrigerator costs a premium, I expect higher quality.

This fridge is a great choice, despite the blip. It has a large freezer compartment, which is quite uncommon in counter-depth french door fridge costco door fridges, and it can hold a decent amount of frozen food in comparison to similar models.

The fridge comes with 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment has 18.5 cubic feet, which is standard for a French-door fridge at this price. It also has a decent sized ice maker in the left door, though it's not the biggest I've seen.

They're easy to open and close, however I found their plastic textured coatings to be a little hard on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes all the features you would expect from a refrigerator in this price range. It has Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices, lets you control your fridge from anywhere in the world, and has numerous options for customization. It will also send you notifications when the door is left unlocked as well as when the fridge or freezer must be defrosted and when the filter needs to be changed.

It would be nice it GE PYE22PYNFS offered Precise fill which is a feature found in a few GE refrigerators that allow users to select how many cups they want to pour out. The fridge shows a countdown to reveal how much water is left, but it's not as useful as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment which keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer and two compressors to preserve food items. The ice maker is one of the best we've ever tested and produces a pyramid-shaped ice with a low water usage. This fridge is the perfect choice for single household or kitchenettes looking for an integrated look and top of the line food preservation.

This refrigerator was rated as the best in our Refrigerators Test for several reasons. Its freezer temperatures held firm at a level that was just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit and never changing by more than a fraction one degree. This is crucial to preventing freezing burn. The fridge's fridge section also performed well, reaching the desired temperature for initial set within a matter of hours and keeping the temperature constant over the course of our tests.

Bosch is known for its premium appliances, so it's no surprise that this counter-depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance that has the option to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and Bosch's Home Connect platform. This app allows you to monitor and control your fridge remotely from your tablet or smartphone. The fridge is expensive and has great features and functionality at a reasonable price.

While the fridge is an incredible piece of equipment however, it is important to understand the limitations. You may need to get creative with tall items because the fridge is limited in shelf space. The shelves are not impervious to spills and could easily be stained or damaged by sharp items. The trays can be easily removed from the fridge. However, they should be cleaned regularly to prevent the growth of mold.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S is a top counter-depth refrigerator that packs plenty of storage in a compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the refrigerator has the standard French-door layout, with gallon-sized door bins on each door and two rows of shelves that capture spills and a set more spacious drawers. The top shelf to the right can be folded to provide more space for tall items. You'll also find a full-width deli drawer and an internal water dispenser.

This refrigerator has a freezer with an ice maker, making it easy to transfer the frozen ice as needed. The freezer features thoughtful design elements, as well, such as sliding drawers that help to organize the place of items. It also has a huge bin that holds plenty of frozen food and a separate ice storage bin.

Another cool feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. You can control the temperature, lighting, and other aspects of your refrigerator from your smartphone. It's an easy way to monitor your fridge and manage it, especially when you're away from home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat however it doesn't enhance the performance of the fridge. In fact, it took longer to defrost and chill food in this refrigerator than some of the others we tested. This is likely due to its bigger capacity.

The other issue we have with the doors of this refrigerator. They have handles that are french door fridges better sunken on the front that allow smaller people to pull them open from the bottom, however they're difficult for taller people to guide closed without slamming the doors. It would have been better if they had handles mounted on the front.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a good choice for those who want to combine the advantages of a French-door fridge's aesthetics with an efficient layout. Its capacity is superior for a counter-depth model, and it cools evenly and has a good layout. It's also less expensive than the best counter depth refrigerator that comes with an ice maker, making it a desirable choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth french door fridge mitsubishi Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for a French door refrigerator that won't cost you a fortune this Frigidaire is a solid option. It has a simple design that's not as visually striking like some of the competitors, but it has enough features that make it a great choice. Its most notable feature is the temperature adjustable drawer, helps to keep food like vegetables and meat fresher longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser as well as a good ice machine that works fast.

The "Chill Drawer", which is situated over the two crisper bins, is a excellent feature. The drawer allows you to divert a portion of the fridge's cooling power directly to this area, meaning you can store foods that require extra attention. You can alter this feature by using the slider located on the in the middle of the drawer. You can also alter the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've noticed that the generic settings work better than the specific ones.

During my tests, the refrigerator's temperatures were fairly consistent across all areas of the fridge. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator didn't vary significantly from 38 degrees. That's a good performance however it doesn't rank among the best in our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also connect this fridge to a smart thermometer for more precise measurements of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is constructed of stainless steel with a grey-bodied body which has a "smudge-proof" finish. It is capable of repelling fingerprints and streaks even when compared to the glossy stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
