Combo is the first mop from irobot for pets and vacuum robot. It's also one of the most stylish. The polished aluminum top and iRobot Logo are more elegant than the blatant designs of competitors.

The irobot roomba sale Home application is used to help you set up and guide your robot. The app collects usage data and maps of your home that include furniture and obstacles. Maps and image data are only shared with iRobot when you sign up.

It's a mop

The Combo Irobot, a highly smart mopping robot, has all the capabilities of the superb Roomba J7+ and adds a water reservoir onboard as well as mopping pads, and a robot arm which can lift and lower the pad. It can complete many tasks in 11 minutes before running out of juice and automatically returning to its base station to recharge.

The model comes with the irobot floor cleaner home app, meaning you can initiate and stop cleaning runs. The robot also looks attractive, with matte black material that does not show dust or fingerprints and a brushed aluminium top piece that has the tiny iRobot Logo.

It is a fantastic tool of vacuuming, and has no issues traversing large area rugs or transition strips between flooring surfaces. It's even able to capture dust particles that robotic vacuums fail to pick up. However, it's not great at mowing. It can't obliterate dried milk stains, like unless you've sent it out four or five times.

IRobot's own Braava Jet M6 mopping robot, which is available as a bundle with the j7 Plus, often for less than the combo Combo and performs much better at this and other tough tasks. It is also able to remove ketchup and wine spills, but I wouldn't recommend sending it after any liquids that contain a large amount of sugar.

It's a vacuum

It's also one of the better-looking robot vacuums, with a smooth top piece that doesn't show dust and fingerprints as easily as the competition. Its tiny combo water tank and dustbin are easy to open and close but they're not the greatest in terms of capacity. The Combo J7+ comes with all the smarts you'd expect from iRobot. This includes maps and obstacle avoidance maps that work efficiently and quickly. The mopping arm is the thing that makes this model stand out in its class. It keeps the mop pad hidden behind the vacuum, however, when it recognizes an area that requires mopping, it lowers the pad underneath and behind the robot. This is a huge upgrade over other robot vacuums that require you to manually remove the mop pad in order to mop hard floors and carpets, or even turn the whole machine off to mop.

It's an electric charging station

When you're ready to charge your Combo Irobot, simply place it on the changing station and align its metal contacts to the ones on the base. The charging station is easy to set up and works well. During my testing it took just a few minutes for the robot to begin charging and then make a sound when it was finished. When the Combo robot is charged, you can begin a mapping run on the app to help the robot understand your home. The app allows you to mark certain objects as permanent obstacles, like lamp cords. You can also connect your robot to Alexa or Google Assistant, so you can use voice commands to direct it around the house.

It's a smart device

Combo irobots vacuum cleaner use acoustic and onboard sensors to understand the kind of floor it's stepping on and the objects in your home. It then combines this information with maps of your surroundings and information from the robot's onboard camera to create a customized cleaning schedule for each room. It's smart enough to avoid your lamp cords, couch as well as other objects you would like to keep. Of course, like any other connected device there are questions about the security of this data. But iRobot affirms that it will never sell customer data and all images are taken with customers' permission.
