The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are seeking a robot mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to map out your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best budget robot vacuum mop-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the push of the button. You can select an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger debris such as cereal and rice. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It can pick up pet hair and sucks large items up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot says it will get better with future models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used however we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that blocks tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and create virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vac settings are as effective as those on higher-end models, and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's an affordable price to pay if you want one of the Best Budget Robot Vacuum robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank is also bigger than those on many of its rivals, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without being distracted. If it comes into contact with an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it before moving on.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of alerting you when something is in need of attention, such as the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create and merge rooms to modify how the Q Revo will treat your home. This is an excellent feature if you have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or if there's some clutter that needs to be removed frequently, such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum cleaner with mop vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It can also vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend cleaning them off with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an auto-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a new sensor system that can better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.

Lastly it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and an assistant voice that works offline, which means you can manage it even when away from home. It also has additional mopping modes as well as an intelligent routing feature that allows you to clean specific areas or rooms of your house instead of just following a set route.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its rotating mop pads that clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a range of features that you do not often find on robots at this price range. It is able to create precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features, but they also place the L10s in the luxury category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall and has a white-colored finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. Clicking it again will shut it off and send it to its base station. The central control panel is a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open the settings menu in which you can tweak how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop with ease and avoid getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most difficult juice stain. The mops are also efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as great at tackling sand on the floor, or Quaker oats on carpet.
