The code will not appear without the additional information supplied by other sensors (G4 or G40).
Testing can be a bit difficult as there are two different connector pins, and they perform different functions but the best method to test it is to measure resistance between the sensor and the ECU. When the sensor is operational, it should be reading about 1000 ohms. Examine for signs of coolant, or oil in the connector bay if there are problems with this part.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, while accelerating at full speed from the highway paytoll i had a big cut in power like the engine is running out of gas or the injectors aren't firing at all. In the morning, i removed the spark plugs. Three were drenched with gazoline the fourth one was dry. I put a piece of tissue over each injector hole and when I turn the engine on without sparks, the ones that have gazoline pop right out. The 4th one stays closed. I tried to test the ground connections of ECU pins 14,30, and 48/55. I got zero ohm. I'm assuming that the issue is somewhere else.
I also tried to reset the PID but with no luck. The car will start when the G28 is unplugged, and it runs fine with the G28 plugged in. However, the intermittent misfire problem persists at higher RPM. The coolant temperature sensor (G62) shows the wrong temp value that is -49c even after unplugging it. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bars but the actual pressure is 0.
I'm not sure what to do, but i feel i have pretty much ruled out everything else. I'm afraid i may have missed something. Let me know should you have any suggestions! TIA!
