The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option for those looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. It does not use LIDAR however, as other models do to identify your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and recommend automatic schedules to provide you with the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning robots functions at the touch of a button. You can select an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and clean large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price tag.

Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to clean up your whole home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, and set up virtual boundary markers, so that it knows to avoid areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is better - its spinning pads scrub your floors much more efficiently than the vibrating pads.

It's only downside is the absence of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. But that's not a big deal when you're looking to purchase one of the best wet dry robot vacuum robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very little noise, so you can work or watch television without being distracted. If it comes across a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it before moving forward.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash to the bin hidden from view and also cleans and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong for example, a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also design and merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo will treat your home. That's a handy feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's some items that need to be cleaned out regularly, such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the top performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to even remove wet spills but I would suggest wiping them dry using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an automatic cleaning station that cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready to be reused. It also comes with a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement to the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best robot vacuum for the money known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still quite large. It is more than two feet in the height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has faster battery charging and can complete a cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet in one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that is functional even if you are not at home. It also has more mopping options and a smart routing feature that allows you to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead just following a set path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested because of its mop pads rotating to remove tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also excellent, and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as the ones we've seen on a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of convenience features that you do not often find on robots in this price range. It can build precise floor maps, recognize various flooring types and is among the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These are nice features but they also push the L10s into the premium category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall and has a white-colored finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving through the home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The central control panel has a circular menu that lets you select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This allows the robot to vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for households with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum robotic cleaner and mop, removing 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors, and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and quaker oats on the carpet.
