We found the brakes to be quick and easy to operate, but we weren't thrilled the fact that you need to sit on a lever close to the front seat to lock the front wheel which can be awkward when walking or jogging.

Baby Trend Expedition

This stroller is a great option for families who are on a tight budget. It is equipped with all safety features, like 5-point harness, Tether strap, and other safety features to help keep your children safe during outings. The handlebar is extra-wide ergonomically shaped rubber grip and is cushioned with foam to ensure comfort. This makes it easy to navigate difficult terrains and hills. It has a large bin that can hold two or more drinks, which is very useful for those who are taking an extended trip.

The Expedition is a jogger that can carry infant car seats. It's an excellent choice for parents with small children. It can be used to connect the Baby Trend and Graco infant car seats using the adapter for car seats included and also has a lockable front swivel wheel that can be locked to jog or lock for strolling with ease. It's lightweight and easy to steer, but it has big robust 16-inch wheels that tackle even the toughest terrain. It has a fixed front wheel so it's easy to keep it straight for running. However, you can pull the handlebar's lever to release and allow the wheel to swivel for casual strolling or hill climbing.

The suspension is excellent, especially on rocky and bumpy bridleways in Peak District where we tested it. The handlebar brake was not as responsive to us as we would like, and the Nipper Sport V4 cannot be used with an infant car seat or carrier (although it can be used with an infant insert) and is only used for occasional overnight sleeping.

It's fairly straightforward to put together - we managed it in less than 10 minutes and found the directions extremely clear. You do have to fit the seat liner and hood yourself but we found that was not difficult. It only requires a bit of patience as you feed the harness straps into the openings in the seat liner. There's a medium-sized storage bag located at the back of the seat, but it's not large enough to hold the use of a changing bag.

The Out 'n' About Nipper Sport V4 can be used as early as birth, but it's recommended to wait until your child is six months old before using it for running. This is due to the fact that the harness isn't strong enough to comfortably hold the newborn, and you'll need to buy an additional carrycot or a newborn insert.
